Derrick and I went to Greenhills today where got me a belated birthday gift.

Waaaaaaah! My boyfriend's made of awesomeness!! Thank youuuuuuu!!! \(* 3*)/

But Steve Jobs is a douche because it's not compatible with OS 10.3.9, it has to be 10.4.8 but Windows users can take their pick from XP or Vista. Leche. But I can has new iPod so whutever!1!!1one1! XD

And interesting meme from Vince, Robert and Sheila.

Instructions:
1 - Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Random quotations: http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
If you want to do this again, you'll hit refresh to generate new quotes, because clicking the quotes link again will just give you the same quotes over and over again.

3 - Go to flickr's "explore the last seven days" http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Go to http://www.randomwebsite.com/
The first ten links you end up in (minus the .com’s) are your 10 song titles.

Guangzhou Gymnasium, "Really Living Without It"
  1. Royal Skateboard Truck
  2. Parool
  3. Dandy Warhols
  4. Merzhase
  5. Szukalski
  6. Native Ventures
  7. Haaretz Daily
  8. AFSC
  9. Low-Fi
  10. Bad Transit

Haha. XD I was going to copy Robert and photoshop it too, but i got lazy and just cropped the image to album size just so it would look more album-y. XD

There's this thing at work where if there aren't enough calls coming in, you can volunteer to go home without pay (hence, VGH = voluntary go home) and I've gotten in the habit of doing that more than I should.

So: SALARY + night diff - withholding tax - SSS - Pag-Ibig - Philhealth - VHG deduction = NOT ENUF MONIES!! T^T

Kasi Gab, kaya ganun, tama daw kasi si Notorious BIG, Puff Daddy at Mase eh.

I'm looking forward to a web project thrown my way, despite the pro bono-ish pay. It'll give my brain some much needed exercise. I just hope I still know what I'm doing. Hee~

They're showing re-runs of Honey and Clover again. I never get sick of watching this over and over again. Despite the heartache. Ha-ha.

Hullo, friends. I miss you all.

Derrick and I caught a last full show of "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" last night with Mama and Andy.

Skandar Keynes. Ampogi ng batang to, ano beh.

When I read the books, I used to have a huge crush on Caspian and Edmund. But a much more grown-up Skandar Keynes has just  tipped the scales in Edmund's favour. Haha.

As expected, there were a lot of deviations from the original storyline. I DID NOT like the Caspian x Susan angle. Where the hell did that come from. That was just gross. There was also just a leeetle too much angst in this movie, particularly on Peter and Caspian's part. Plus, the dryads looked like Ents. I know Tolkien and Lewis were friends, but that's just taking things too far.

Aside from that, I loved it. I thought the other deviations from the original storyline worked well to its adaptation on film. Like the siege on Miraz's castle, and the materialization of the White Witch.

Go, watch Narnia! :D

I may not love what I do for a living, but I love the people I work with. :)

Team building / Jepoy's last day at work / Tin's birthday celebration at SUKINA. (plus random after work photos)

I haven't had beer in ages and oh, how I missed it so. Sukina was ok. The booze and food are cheap, the food's not bad and there's an attempt at interior design. It was an air-conditioned smoking area though, which meant I still faintly smelled like an ashtray 24 hours later. Fun, fun, fun. :D

Oh, and I updated the graphic design gallery of my portfolio with a couple of layouts I did with Toolbox. Yay! Update! :D

According to the Office of the University Registrar I only graduated with a CERTIFICATE IN FINE ARTS.

All my fourth-year subjects are credited and listed on the transcript, but its heading as well my certificate of graduation all say Certificate in Fine Arts.

Derrick and I were at Megamall yesterday and I finally got around to buying Geoffrey a new terrarium/aquarium. She outgrew her fishbowl months ago, and I just found the time to go shopping yesterday. :)

Geoffrey's still getting used to all this water. Haha, We made her a little dock out of a suction cupped-soap dish to rest on but she's still hasn't caught on that that's what it's for. XD

Now I'm poor. Payday's so far away. \(TAT)/

Mister Kabab, that is.

I'd been craving for some Special Chelo Kabab and hummus for the longest time but never had the time to pass by. Yay for Mister Kabab! They were open last night so yay for Kabab for after-church dinner. :D

Mmmm-mmmm. Garlic sauce.

mama & andy, half of my dinner, with derrick (crappy phone pics)

For the first time in my life, I experienced having to wait in line to get seated at Kabab. Andy says that happens a lot. I guess I've just never been there during peak hours haha.

The new place is swanky. Ahlahveet. The washrooms are infinitely better too (no more coffin cubicles). Wish I could say the same for the service, but no, it's still as difficult to get the waitresses to notice that your hand has gone numb from being in the air too long.

But the foooooooooood was so goooooooood! I missed it sooooooooooooo much! I ate too much and too fast so I was queasy the whole cab ride home but who cares. Mmmmm-mmmmm. Garlic sauce.

Galo reformatted the iBook before I brought it home so naturally I have to download and reinstall stuff, right?

They refuse to work! o_o

So I copied Mimie's installers. (clever girl, backs up her installers) They still refuse to work! o_o

So I thought maybe I just suck at installing, but I installed Firefox ok.

So I dunno.

So help? o_o

So we just got dispersed from the all-no0b team to our respective teams which kinda sucks because we've kinda grown attached to each other. My new TL is someone I've hung out with before at the yosi area so it's cool and she's uber nice so I'm having second thoughts about pushing through with my request to transfer to the swing shift. :P I'm off on Thursdays and Fridays! For teh winrar. I can has Friday!

My mom's in Vietnam for a week. Oh lordy. House party, anyone? If anyone's up for a house party around lunch. Mothers. Can't live with them, can't live without them.

Work's going ok. The temptation to resign early is still there, but I'm sticking to my guns (for now).

Daylight Savings Time sucks. I now have to be at the office at 8pm. Ugh.

Derrick and I found this at V-mall and I so want one!!! I'll paint my iPod to match, I swear.

It costs as much as a new 2nd gen iPod nano, but i want onnnnne! I also want the Rumble/Frenzy earphones and the Soundwave mp3 player.

They also have Transforming Nike sneakers, but I'm not into basketball shoes. :P

Met up with Anj, Monica, Myka and Noelle last Saturday for a long overdue coffee-yosi-chismis session. It was great to see them again, and at the same time it brought into harsh perspective the fact that my life has absolutely no direction whatsoever. I'm still an overgrown college kid pretending to be a grown up and not liking a single minute of it.

There is a design job opening that I'm itching to apply for, but I decided to hold off for a while. I really want to, but I know I'm not ready. I know a couple of months into it, I'd lose interest and resign.

I originally gave myself at least a year to stick it out at as a call (center) girl, but I'll be regularized in three months so I'll wait til then. If that opening is still there, then good. Then it was meant for me, right? Right. Keep telling yourself that.

And moving on from the angst...

My Aunt/godmother is one of those people who are impossible to buy gifts for because she pretty much has everything (she can also afford to buy everything). She's a big Klimt fan, so I thought I'd make her something Klimt inspired for Christmas. (yes, I know. i only got to upload it a few weeks ago, so there.)

An upside to my current job is that I'm actually motivated to work on my watercolour. I have an idea for a series of paintings that I need to flesh out a bit but I'm buying watercolour paper tomorrow so I can get started. Let's go, go go!

I'm in the process of buying Mimie's iBook G4 because Lola, my old laptop, has been slowly dying out on me. Which is understandable, since she is more than 7 years old. Between Lola's hardrive ready to give out at any moment and our retarded desktop, we don't have a single properly functioning PC anymore. Boo.

So a TON of love to Mimie for letting me bring my new/her old laptop home even though I'm not (even close to) done paying for it in full! THANK YOUUUU, MIMIEEEEEEEE! \(* 3*)/

I still haven't decided on a name yet. Hee~ I'm still getting used to the Mac OS. n0ob. The score is currently iBook=1, gab-0.

The "weekends" go by so fast. (And by weekends, I mean Mondays-Tuesdays. I swear, I've never looked forward to Mondays before. :P ) Work's going okay. I'm not dreading it as much as I used to dread my old job, although I do miss doing anything remotely artsy-fartsy. (Photoshop!)

Right-o.

The problem with being away from the intarwebs for so long is that by the time you're finally online you can't remember anything interesting to blog about.

I got to watch Avatar 13 earlier (after months and months of waiting!) and I'm very, very happy that Zuko is past his teenage angst and uber mushy phase. And in as much as I love Mai and Zuko, Mai x Zuko is just whack. o_o

I still haven't watched "Sweeny Todd". For shame, Gab! You'll make Allan Rickman so sad!

And because I can't think of anything else to say:

Oh-ho! And is this supposed to melt in your mouth, not in your hand? XD It's for realzz, people. Check it out in the Japanese/Korean section of the Megamall grocery.
